While your Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven doesn't need to be seasoned, it does require careful cleaning after each use. We recommend hand washing to extend the lifespan of your Dutch Oven.
Caring for enameled casted iron is fairly simple and when done right, can extend the lifespan of your cookware. Remembering the following tips will help you keep your Larder & Vine Dutch Oven in great condition.
Hand wash only
Let cool before cleaning
To clean, soak in hot water and dish soap. For tough stains, let soak in baking soda, dish soap and water overnight.
Use a soft sponge to clean. DO NOT use a steel wool scrubber as this will damage the coating.
Use wooden, silicone or similar utensils. DO NOT use metal utensils as this can cause scratching and chipping.
